Initial naturopathic visit includes a comprehensive health assessment that includes initial treatment recommendations. This assessment will include a detailed discussion surrounding the current lifestyle and dietary habits along with some in-house testing if required. It is recommended for patients to bring any existing lab work from medical doctors or imaging (if available), and also first morning urine in a disposable container (if in-house labs are desired). If additional lab testing are required to further assess the health goal, Dr. Wendy will be able to provide the lab requisitions upon the first visit.
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin micronutrient that plays an important role in brain function and red blood cell production. These nutrients are also essential for keeping our neurons healthy and preventing health disease. We offer these B12 injections in-house to boost your levels if they are in fact deficient as seen from your recent blood work results.
Naturopathic doctors are able to requisition blood, saliva and urine tests as well as functional tests. Our clinic offers a wide variety of lab testing to get a more comprehensive report and help diagnose the root cause of your health concerns. If you bring your latest lab results, it will also allow us not to duplicate testing.
Proper nutrition plays a critical role in health maintenance & disease prevention. Our aim is to focus on the use of food nutrition as a therapeutic modality. Naturopathic doctors are well educated in dietary recommendations and use of supplements/vitamins. Through our assessments, we will be able to identify nutritional deficiencies and build a treatment plan to course correct your specific case.
IV drips involve the infusion of the typical nutrients that are depleted in the body. By adding different vitamins and minerals in different concentrations, we are able to stimulate the body to rapidly aid cellular replenishment and give out rapid results. Furthermore, it bypasses the digestive system which is vastly needed for certain people with specific chronic diseases or poor digestion.
